Wastell Homes recently established an annual bursary to encourage and support female students in the Carpentry and Renovation program at Fanshawe College.

The Wastell Homes “Award of Distinction” is given to a female student who exhibits dedication, exemplary participation and academic excellence in the program. This year, we were thrilled to award the bursary to Christina – a first year student in the Construction and  Renovation Technique program.

Wastell Homes recognizes that women are sorely under represented in the construction
industry, and this bursary encourages female students to remain in the program and hopefully secure employment in construction.
